Well, since this seems to be getting aired I might as well join in.
I replied to Joe separately before, but I can do so here also.
Yes, I am single and have been now for about 20 years. After the
divorce I was a single mother of 2 and finding someone else who
wanted to take on a ready made family was not happening. Besides
I did not really want to get married again.
Now, with the pd, I guess my feeling is that I would not marry again,
I would not want someone to end up taking care of me. It is bad
enough to me that my son is doing it now, and someday I might
need so much more care.
However, I agree with Hilary, a companion or friend is more inviting
than a mate right now. And I have that. We are true friends and can
call each in the middle of the night, or go out to dinner, or just stay
at his house or mine and watch tv. He doesn't care if I shake and I
don't care if he is going blind. What a pair.
Actually, I have had no problem with men wanting to get to know me,
even when they learn that I have pd.

don't forget how to laugh (and do it often)
