Dear list members,
Last week there was a discussion about flaky scalp conditions among
us PWPs. Here are some temporary solutions that work for me:
1. I don't use the same type of shampoo for longer than two weeks.
2. I switch between the "blue shampoos" (Head & Shoulders, Selsun Blue)
the coal tar shampoo Denorex and lately have added Neutrogena
T/SAL. The T/SAL's active ingredient is salicylic acid (same as
   in aspirin.)
3. I find that by switching it keeps the flaking and urge to scratch
at a lower level and I think the T/SAL has really helped more
   than other shampoos.
You might also try the prescription shampoo NIZORAL. The active
ingredient is Ketoconazole which is effective against yeast infections.
Some dandruff conditions have been found to be related to yeast
overgrowth. (I tried it.....had no effect on my dandruff.)
