I don't get discouraged or depressed often, but today seems to be my day! I
get so tired of putting up with this d---- disease! And I've only been
putting up with it for 9 years! When I know so many of you have been enduring
it for so many more years, I wonder if I can last so long. You have my
admiration for your fortitude.
Hope is always with us or we would not be able to endure. It's just that we
try new drugs, we hear of all these wonderful things like palidotomy, deep
brain stimulation by electronics, fetal and porcine transplants, yet they are
always in the future. The new drugs all seem to have the same side effects
and still we have to depend on sinemet! Thank God for that, anyway. Thank God
for you "long timers" who show that we can make it awhile longer day by day,
year by year with our "ups and downs"
I would like to thank you all personally, but the list would be too long.
Just know that without your participation in this list, life would be much
harder!
