Dear Bruce:
I don't think anything ever came out of that. I have that problem. I too,
had an increase in my Permax at which time I noticed the skin on my feet and
calves was very taut, blue/purple/reddish in color, a few black/blue marks.
Ankles swell and every now and then a spot almost like a blemish is there.
I called the neuro like I said was in a serious accident and not in the
office. He has no backup so it was suggested I call my GP (general
practitioner).
I did call my GP, I went into his office, showed my feet and legs and was told
that I shouldn't worry about it. No answers.
Well , it hasn't gone away. I decided to call Neuro again. (2 more weeks go
by) On the day I called the Neuro was in the office on the day I called. I
couldn't get in but she (his nurse) would ask his about the problem. No one
called I waited until after 6:00 PM to leave or get on internet. I called the
next day late in the afternoon and called them back. Well they tried to call,
couldn't get through, but did not believe this was related to PD Meds or PD
itself. Ok. Called my GP again, they decided to get me in again.
This trip GP decided that this may be due to my meds, or it is something
called, I can't read much of the writing but it looks like " Livido
Retieulitis" sp. I have tried to find out what this is. I was told that it is
just there? Ok, now I know its there. I was really the first one to know "It
was just there". I am going to look through some books and then I'll all my
sister-in-law/brother. She was been a nurse for upteen years. Maybe she can
telll me, or get an answer what it is.
Amazing isn't it.
Do you have any answers Bruce?
I still have the discoloration, swelling and skin tightness. I have no other
problems with meds so I don't know if that is the problem.
Thanks for asking
I think it is a new way of wearing tights without wearing tights.
Take care and good luck with legs/feet etc.
