William: thank you for your message, with the information about new drugs. I have just one day of being in the list and am very impressed by the amount of people talking and sharing. Brazil is a country for young people, so you feel it is not "good taste" talking about difficult issues like PD. I have made to good resolution of being in charge of myself ( at least as long as I can) and get information. Being a Psychotherapist for over 30 years, I now intend offering counseling for PD and for their families. I will be talking to my doctor about this. Doing direct address to address e-mail contact is often called "off list" Mirapex is pramipexole-a dopa agonist. It is one of two new agonists (the other is Requip--ropenerole) introduced in the US this year. There are also a couple of new enzyme blockers this year.
