Hi Bill,
you wrote.....
I am occasionally guilty of ignoring what someone says if they are
not part of what I perceive as the problem. I seem to not be alone
in this

The concern I expressed in my last e-mail on this subject was not addressed.
I was simply told something like "You don't have this problem". As a result,
while I am relieved that I am not a part of the problem, neither am I part of
the solution

C'mon folks, ignorance is fixable.

 I say again:
For the benefit of us button pushing, non (computer ) nerds, how does one fix
these problems? . Please give answers in terms of "click here", "select that",
etc .

Regards,
WHH 54/18

Sorry Bill if you perceived a bit of a brush off in my quick reply
"you don't have a problem!"

The trouble with the request for "click here" , "select that" is that
it isn't quite that simple either. The group of 1600 are probably
running a dozen different e-mail clients on both PC's and Mac's and
when I (or anyone else) try to figure out what someone else is doing
wrong we need to study the individual pattern more than closely
before we can fathom an intelligent response. (In the case of
Windows 95 and MS Exchange or Outlook and Rich Text Formatting, I had
to go to my work and download a copy onto a Pentium and then send
e-mail to my 386 to see what problems I could simulate) Only then
was I reasonably certain what the answer was.

We will figure out how to keep this List intact!

Bear with us Bill.

best regards............murray
