Destructive Win 98 Virus
                   Corralled

CIH virus first discovered in Taiwan.

Another virus targeted at Windows 98 and Win 95
users has been found in the wild.

At least four variants of the virus, called CIH, have
been
reported in Taiwan. All infect executable files and
can
potentially damage data. One variant of CIH crashes
the infected computer, detonating on the 26th of
every
month. Another detonates specifically on April 26 and
                   formats the user's hard drive.

Several anti virus software vendors have added
detection
for CHI to their scanners. More information about the
virus is available from the related links to your
right.
