Hi, Sue, I think the question to ask is not where is the best facility, but is your mother likely to benefit from a pallidotomy? Many people have benefited, at least temporarily, but others have experienced failure or even gotten worse. My advice would be to look for a movement disorders specialist, preferably in a specialized center and then get a second opinion if you're not completely convinced that the advice of the first doc is appropriate.
