I, for one, am curious as to whether there is going to be a response here
from the research/ PD professionals who are members of this list & who have
commented on other matters in the past. Ida seems to be asking if the cure
is going to be so easy that we can say with some certainty that it is only
five years away and all that is missing is the $, then why aren't  all the
individual reseachers who would be getting the grants, and the professional
rewards, out there fighting for it?  Or are they and we just haven't had
about them?
