Dear Friends:
I am off to Switzerland to teach a course in world peace to about 70
scallywags ranging from ages 12 - 14. This is my fourth summer. Except for
the lowing of the hillside cows, and the soft peeling of their bells, the
air is silent, pure and peaceful. My room overlooks the lights on the
Bodensea (Lake Constance). And I love being with kids. (it's a tough job,
but , you know somebody's gotta do it....) I've so enjoyed my association
with all of you. I've learned worlds and feel far more confident in myself
and in the areas I can control than I did before I met you. It was a
priviledge for me to be a part of the irrepressible, spiritual energy of
this group. I've been a survivor all my life, but now that's not enough. I
want to be more than that. I prefer, at this time, to see myself moving
through a life-altering experience. This perspective overrides judgement
which, for me is usually negative. Staying positive is what I can do, and I
am grateful to those of you who helped me sustain this attitude. Barb
