The point of my silly little post was that I thought the issue was blowing
itself out because I had not seen any negative opinions in such a long time.
I forgot about the 57 messages I had to jettison the other day, though. I
suppose there was some among them.

I  think Dale's suggested topic of our concern is about as good a topic as
we are going to  find - and long range enough for some of us that perhaps
there is something we can do about it besides just expressing our
indignation.

Even basic Assisted Living in this country is seriously for the rich only,
at least in NJ.  Until last winter my wife worked in one. It is a large
national chain - building them all over  the country.  Sunrise Assisted
Living it's called.  There are 50+ of them now, I think.  Good stock. The
basic fee is $3,000/ month. For that they feed you,  pick you up when you
fall out of bed (usually) and provide some kind of daily recreation  They
have a separate Alzeimers unit but PWP need not apply.  Lots of Mercedes and
Range Rovers in the parking lot on Sundays.
