The meeting will take place at the University of the South on Friday and Saturday 26 and 27 March 1999, and abstracts of 20-minute papers should be submitted by 1 October 1998. PLENARY LECTURES at the Colloquium will be given by John W. Williams, University of Pittsburgh, Ralph M. McInerny, University of Notre Dame, Richard Kieckhefer, Northwestern University. The SEWANEE MEDIAEVAL COLLOQUIUM PRIZE will be awarded for the best paper by a graduate student or recent PhD recipient (doctorate awarded since June 1996).
