We can make a difference!!!

I think it was Mike Claeys who said that the only defeat is to do nothing.I
agree.

It seems some of us are more comfortable doing things one way or another-
whether its call, fax, write or e-mail-the least effective I understand. It all
helps,tho in being heard.

For those of us who can, lets get our friends, family, religious groups, social
affiliations or any group we know to also call.NUMBERS DO COUNT and it doesn't
take long to call.

The AARP toll free number to Washington is:1-800-361-8222.

We OPPOSE ANY AMENDMENTS to HR4274(the House) and wnat a yes vote so there
would NOT be a reduction in Health Funding.

Altho,we never know the exact time of the voting, the senate won't be acting
until after recess(in Sptember).Note:their bill doesn't have a number yet.

Our message is to FULLY FUND THE UDALL ACT.WE NEED THE $100 MILLION
In 1999.

If each of us could get 10 others to contact thier Senators and Congressman
and ask them in turn to contact others, imagine the impact. We can and will be
heard.

More power to you letter to the editor writers. The more we get our message out
the better our chances.

Good luck to all of us!!!!
