I have not had this surgery - BUT at least 3 of my younger parkinsons
friends have had this Deep brain el-stimulation surgery and all very
successful. It takes place at Aarhus University Hospital, Aarhus Denmark,
and very soon 2 of my other friends are going to have a surgery whcih only
have been sone in Grenoble, France and so far I know also in Sweden and some
few dauys ago I heard in Austria. This surgery is in subthalicus and is
another el.-brain stimulation. I know a younger man from Belgium, he was
very young when he had PD and I had the pleasure to meet him in Denmark one
year ago where he told about this surgery. IF you are interested I`ll send
you his "story" which I have got from him.
