Barb: Ok I will think. And see if I can come up with a few. I will send back to you. Maybe we coud also, get someone to even back with bucks to produce. Fade In: Scene is the Kitchen of Bobbi and Suzy. Talking over coffee. Suzy (looking at Bobbi) stirring her coffee. "Guess who I saw at A Macs yesterday?" Bobbi was getting a danish out to share with her friend. "I haven't a clue" Suzy stops stirring, looking seriously at her long time friend. "I saw Mariam, you remember her?" Bobbi searched her memory for anyone named Mariam. Suzy said I'll give you a clue. Mariam didn't ring any bells in Bobbi's memory. Oh anyway that is who I saw. "She has a cane or walking stick and can't seem to walk very steady." Suzy told her. Suzy was explaining to Bobbi she walked over to her Mariam, her husband and oldest daughter was there to help. This was in case her husband could not be there with her. Her daughter would be a what they called "Caregiver". Bobbi gave Suzy a puzzling look. "Caregiver" she said . Suzy proceeded to talk, while Bobbi wanted to run things through through her head. Bobbie and Suzy still sitting at the kitchen table. Picking at the danish they both had on a plate, they really didn't talk for awhile. "Well" Bobbie's eyes came up to meet Suzy's, "did you find out what is wrong with her?" Suzy cleared her throat, took a gulp of coffee and said "Bobbi, she said she has Parkinson's Disease". "That's some sort of Brain thing, isn't it" Suzy commented to her best friend. There was a fear in her voice. "Bobbi, she's our age". Suzy sat staring at the table. "She is 36, walking around with a cane, can't drive any longer, even need's help with the household things." Suzy watched as Bobbi got up and headed for the phone. Bobbi looked into a phone book, dialing a number. "Bobbi, who you calling?" asked Suzy. Suzy heard nothing from her friend on the phone. She picked another piece of her danish, swiped it through her coffee, popped it into her mouth. Suzy again asked her friend, waiting for a reply. Bobbi turned around to focus on Suzy. "I am trying to call Mariam." Suzy looked so surprised at Bobbi. "Why do you want to get ahold of her, Bobbi?" "We were never that close. And look at all the problems now" said her other friend, Suzy. "I never knew you could be so young and get Parkinson's Disease", Bobbi commented. "Isn't that the same disease as Mohammad Ali has?" " And he can't even talk now." Bobbi stated hitting the redail, over and over. Finally, a light in her eyes was there. "Oh hi, Stuart." Bobbi's soft as milk voice took over "I just heard about Mariam's disease." "I was wondering if I can come over?" There was no voice for awhile then Bobbi stated "I would like to learn all I can about Parkinson's Disease" Bobbi continued, I also would like to help Mariam with things she may need done", Bobbie looked at Suzy an gave her an afirming nod. "Oh that would be great, Eric." "See you than", as she hung up the phone. Bobbie was curious how Parkinson's came about. Who was likely to get these chronic, progressive diseases. And who could she help. But she really wanted Eric and Mariam to help her understand what had happened. Bobbie realized how many of her friends, husband, herself were the age of Mariam. And since Parkinson's was no longer the unknown, but an "Equal Opportunity Disease" she wanted to be more knowledgle. Fade to black with both Suzy and Bobbi getting another cup of coffee. Making plans to go to Eric's and Mariam's. This is adaptable to either Radio/TV PSA's Well, it's rough, very rough but this one's for you Barb! Ok Hon! Gina 47/8 mos
