Hi, Kat! My name is Becky Potts. I'm going into my junior year in
highschool and working on a PD project. In researching PD I found that
many cases are trauma induced, but there are also cases which have no
history of trauma. These "out of the blue" cases have led scientists
(myself included) to believe that there are two ways to get PD: genetically,
or from trauma. My idea is to locate enough case histories with family
histories to do a statistical analyis relating the families and patients and
possibly find a significant link. My grandpa was diagnosed with PD a few
years ago, which would mean that if it can be passed on genetically I could
eventually develop PD!!

I've finally gotten my data sheet figured out, so if I could ask a few
questions it would be a great help. (I need to have your permission to use
this information in my study before I get into the fairs and symposia.) Ok,
here goes:

1. PWP's name
2. PWP's location (city, state/province)
3. PWP's/your E-mail address
4. PWP's occupation
5. PWP's relatives with PD (if any) and the following info on them as
well as PWP
6. gender
7. Onset Age (first symptoms)
8. Diagnosis Age (when doctors diagnosed PD)
9. Age now
10. other illnesses PWPs have had
11. chemicals PWPs have been exposed to
12. other trauma PWPs have endured

Wow! What a list! I hope it's not too hard to track it all down!! I
understand if you don't know all the info. Thanks for helping!!

On another note, you are so lucky to be in Italy!! I went on a tour at
Easter with my Latin class and absolutely loved it! I'm hoping to go to
college on the east coast and major in either Neurology or fashion design
(interesting selection, huh?) and minor in Italian, and later move to Italy.
I'd probably miss home and everyone here, too, but it's so beautiful there!

Well, thank you for helping! Hope the list helps a little!

    Becky Potts
