Hi Hans:

I received a newsletter yesterday from Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical
Center. That is the hospital that they diagnosed My Parkinson's. The Dr was
Dr. Harold L. Klawans. Little did I know that this man was the founder of the
Movement Disorder Section. Throughout his career he devoted attention to our
three missions, Parkinson's disease research, patient care and medical
education. Participated in studies of levodopa in PD.
He published nearly 500 articles on these neurological topics and wrote a
textbook on clinical neuropharmacology as well.
The list of his accomplishments is very long. He continued his analytic
neurological interest in the popular writing projects like "Toscanni's Fumble
" and "Why Michael Couldn't hit." He trained many neurologists, internists,
and psychiatrists whose careers were fostered by his encouragement, his
willingness to incorporate them into research projects, and his gener osity in
sending them to meetings to present data. In addition to the staff at Rush
University in Chicago, familiar names like William J. Weiner, Caroline M.
Tanner, and William Koller are amoung thos neurologists, nationally and
internationally known, who trained directly under Dr. Klawans.
Hans, his achievements go on for 3 more pages. This was my doctor in Chicago.
He diagnosed my PD on January 9, 1998. So, I have decided something. I am
going to call Rush, get another appointment with his assistant have him check
things out (feet, legs, back etc.) I must have had a goody for a doctor but
no such luck.
I am also going to have them recommend someone in the city. Have a referrel
here or in South Bend.

I am getting no answers, no help, and a scquabble between the 3. I am not
sitting and waiting.
Sound good? I need to care for me. And the questions are right out there to
be asked and answered and I have become very tired of waiting for 3 drs who
somewhat are playing games or god with me. No Thanks, men.

I miss your post, talk to ya. Later guy, I hope this finds you well (as can
be expected) you take care of your self and all the kids here at the house.

TTFN
Hugs to you Hans
