I was reading an article in the San Jose Merc News Biz section (Sat Aug 15 paper) titled "Edward L. Ginzton, co-founder of Varian Associastes, dies at 82" The article mentined that he "died... after a long battle with Parkinson's disease". I do think awareness of PD is spreading- it might not be spreading like wild fire as we would wish, but I see more and more mentions of PD in regular newsy stuff. Did you see the movie about AIDS "and the band played on?" They talk about how difficult it was to get people to acknowldge that AIDS existed.. and look where it is now. Hope you are all having a good weekend, abi (whose Dad has PD 73/2 yrs)
