Thanks for the advice, Terry. I 'spect it wouldn't hurt to reinstall the
mouse driver. But clean the mouse ball? Uhhhhhh..... I've had this PC for
nearly 3 years and it's survived on "benighn neglect." I don't wanna spoil it
by doing things like cleaning the mouse ball! <grinning>

Seriously, the first thing I did was clean the mouse ball 'cause I always try
to do the simplest and easiest thing to "cure" a problem (ANY problem) first.

Hmmmm.... (thinking)... maybe - if it's not a lotta trouble - you could email
me the proper mouse driver if ya have it? What info about my puter system do
ya need to know (if any) before sending it?

Thanks again...

Barb .. Those mice always mis-behave don't they. People of our parents age
group trapped them ... We use them to write. Seriously ... If you can't
control the mouse speed in the mouse section of Control Panel you may have
to re-load the mouse driver software. It could have gotten corrupted. Have
a friend or neighbor close to you make a copy of it on a floppy and load it
into the appropriate folder. If not I can e-mail it to you as an attachment
file.

You have tried cleaning your mouse roller ball havn't you ? Good luck ! Ask
if yopu need help...
