Dear PWP Friends, I am fairly new to this list but would like to make some comments and suggestions that may be helpful to some of you. I had a terrible pain in my upper left shoulder. Felt like it was between my spine and my shoulder blade. I felt the pain was caused by a pinched nerve in my back. I also had a popping sound when I turned my head like the bones were grinding on one another. It had been bothering me for several months. I decided to see a chiropractor after my GP said therapy was the only thing he could recommend. (Well, I have to pay 20 percent of my DR. bills so it was more expensive to see the PT than the chiropractor.) Anyway to make a long story shorter, the chiropractor helped me loosen up, but did not help the pain in my shoulder, but of course I wouldn't let him pop my neck so who knows if that would have helped? (I stopped going to him over a month ago, when it appeared he had done all he could to help me.) In the meantime, one of my cousins told me her husband had tried something new for a similar type problem. He had an almost frozen shoulder and after almost a year of PT given under the Military Retirement benefits he had, he wasn't much better. Said he couldn't even raise his arm high enough to comb his hair. Then he started taking a dietary supplement called Knox NutraJoint and in two months he could raise his arm well above his head and said it didn't hurt any more. I was very skeptical, let me tell you, but everyone in the family insisted that I should try it for the recommended two months. So I did. Sometime about a week ago I suddenly realized that the pain was gone. I didn't tell anyone for several more days afraid it would come back, but it hasn't and the crunching in my neck is gone also. Now this would be enough for me to recommend Knox Nutrajoint to you, but I have discovered another benefit. At least I think it was brought about by its usage. It has apparently ended my problem with constipation. As soon as I started taking the Knox Nutrajoint I had no more need of prunes or Metamucil. I have even increased my Sinemet without increasing the old problem. I have no explanation for this except the Knox Nutrajoint. I have only talked to one other user to see if they found this relief. That is my mother-in-law who first raised this question right after she started taking the Knox NutraJoint, wondering if that might be a side benefit. Apparently it helped her also. Are you familiar with Knox NutraJoint? It is a Gelatine Dietary Supplement. The website listed on the container is: http://www.knoxgel.com I only used one half of the recommended dose per day. I mixed it with coffee either in the morning or afternoon. It has no taste and does not affect the coffee at all. Some of you may want to try it. Let me know if you already have tried it, and if you found it to be beneficial.
