On the other hand, more money should indeed be spent on Parkinson's and other neurodegenerative diseases. Not only must these scourges (like the tero rorists, smallpox, polio, and the Plague) be wiped from the face of the earth because of the m human misery they cause, but it's also cost-effective to do so. PD and ite s relatives (Alzheimers and so on) must cost society tens of billions of dollars a year in health care costs, lost wagesd (and tax revenues), and the like.
