Dear list members

We here in Perth, Australia have just had a wonderful day!

Mary Baker MBE President of the EPDA and her husband Bob have been visiting
our city and we managed to fast forward our work on establishing our very
first Parkinson's Disease Nurse Specialist in time with Mary's visit. So
advertisements went out nationwide on the Saturday 29th August.

Today Mary & Bob, together with our own Parkinson's Association of WA
members, as well as representatives from the Health Department of WA (who
are funding this position for one year - with hopefully more to come!) met
to "launch" this very soon to be established post of Parkinson's Disease
Nurse Specialist.

This person will work from our PAWA office, in the community and in the
hospitals of our city.

If you will allow me, Barbara, following is the advertisement which
appeared today. Details of the job - for anyone interested, can be found
on the PAWA homepage as indicated at the bottom of the advt.

If you can't get them off the web and would genuinely like a copy of the
Duty Statement, Selection criteria, Context for the job, etc, I can send
you these.

Sincerely

Joy Graham (back on the list while we were getting all of this off the ground!)
