Hi Marcy,

Welcome to last-minute prep.  Actually, you've probably been there before,
so you won't need a welcome.

Anyway, one reading for literary analysis is Edward Corbett's early
analysis of Swift's "A Modest Proposal."  Some may see this 1966 work as a
bit dated, but it's a classic.  If you know it, great; if not, it sets out
a lot of basics for traditional literary prose analysis.

It was originally published in _Reflections on High School English_." Ed.
Gary Tate (Tulsa: U of Tulsa) 1966.  106-124.

It's been republished a lot.  You might have _A Writing Teacher's
Sourcebook._ Eds. E.P.J. Corbett and Gary Tate (New York: U of Oxford P)
1981.  333 - 352.
