KALAMAZOO MEDIEVAL CONGRESS, 6-9 MAY 1999 TWO SESSIONS SPONSORED BY The Society for Confraternities Studies The Society Confraternity Studies will sponsor two sessions at the forthcoming medieval congress in Kalamazoo, MI, 6-9 May 1999.=20 One session will be a general session, focussing on any aspect of Medieval and Renaissance confraternities, while the other session will focus on self-mortification (discipline, flagellation, penance, etc.). Presentations from scholars in all disciplines (history, literature, art, music, etc.) are cordially invited. Please send your abstracts (max. 100 words) by September 15 to the address below.
