Dear Cyber Friends:
Thank you for all of your helpful suggestions regarding my father's =
dizziness. We have an appointment with a movement disorders specialist. =
In the mean time, the local doctor finally said "gee, maybe we should =
try another medication." The switch from Permax is in progress. The =
dizziness is lessening, the swelling in his legs and feet is =
diminishing, and he is able to move a bit better. All of the diuretics =
on the planet hadn't touched the swelling. =20
Let this be a lesson to all of us. If the doctor isn't listening to =
you, turn up the volume until he/she does. Don't accept what my husband =
was told about his back problem "you're getting old, get used to it" =
(this at age 33(!)). Don't accept that you have Parkinson's and should =
expect/accept the problems. Ask your friends on the list, and keep the =
pressure on your local doctor to find the treatments that are right for =
you. I bet they's sing a different tune if they had this affliction!
