Bruce,
I'm no expert, but I know one additional fact I haven't seen mentioned
recently.  That is the rate at which you get "Paid" your SSDI, has to do with
the amount of time you worked at a particular job and the number of years
since you gave it up.  That was important in my case and meant another several
hundred a month if memory serves me.  Sorry I cannot be more specific.
