Yes, YES, YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! FYI....Today I won back my SSDI benefits! Retroactive to July, 1997! (WHEW!) And ... errrrrr.... the judge was a Lady throughout the hearing, thus so was yours truly (not even a hint of anger!) <grin> Passion? Yes... Temper? Nope.... Special thanks to List-lurker/member David Fein <smiling> who came to my rescue and volunteered to drive me waaaaaaay over the hill from the San Fernando Valley to the City-side of L.A., right to the door of the Federal building (not exactly CLOSE to either of our respective homes!). AND who sat around killing time for the coupla hours I was meeting with the attorney prior to the hearirng and then in the hearing itself. David even kept an eye out, post hearing, as this VERY, VERY shaky gal poured a buncha PD meds down as fast humanly possible after the hearing. Then he deposited a still-shaky, very tired, and exultant Barb safely back at my front door. Is this a wonderful person, or WHAT? Thanks also to ace attorney, Deborah Bice, of Kennedy & Associates. While they were hired by my insurance company, they made me feel like they were not only working FOR me, but also cared 'BOUT me. ASIDE: Kennedy works out of Chicago, and flew the attorney out to L.A. for the hearing. Thanks to the many members of our List-family who's kept my spirits up by posting, emailing and phoning me while this SSDI brouhaha was going on. Dear friends - I couldn't have done it without your loving support. As a very satisfied client of Kennedy & Associates, I'm including their phone number for those who're interested/need this type of service: 1(800) 637-0593 And now I'm gonna grab a nap 'cause I sure didn't sleep last nite!
