Wendy,
Positive thinking always helps, but I will throw the stone into your shiney
puddle and ask the first question which comes to my mind....

How can you determine "cure/healing" when 25% of those diagnosed are shown not
to have PD when studied in autopsy. With no definitive diagnostic test, the
ability to establish a cure/healing number worthy of study would be very
difficult.

I have been symptomatic since at least high school days (tremor/no arm swing)
and am now in my mid 50's........possibly family members with PD who could
show genetic link.........(one deceased, so no study there).........My
progression is certainly slow if one looks at the years of
symptoms.......however, my neuro describes my case as atypical and further
testing would be of no benefit because there is no other treatment available.
I still respond to Sinemet (wish I had started taking it many years
earlier...however, lack of dx and a first neuro reluctant to improve quality
of life are my reasons not taking it earlier).
