Hi Nigel-- Mirapex and Requip are both dopamine agonists, and supplement the Sinemet, so one can take less of it. From Peter's experience, I believe it is important to reduce Sinemet dosage when adding an agonist--especially for PWPs who are known to be at risk for hallucinations. Mirapex was a bad trip for Peter, but he is doing well now on Requip, with Sinemet cut a lot (now takes 1200mg/day instead of 1600.) BUT REMEMBER-- each PWP is UNIQUE, and don't change meds without discussion with the neuro!
