Antioxidants:
Rats given a diet rich in fruit and vegetables experienced slower
age-related declines in mental function compared with rats on a standard
diet, according to a study in the latest issue of the Journal of
Neuroscience. Rats given vitamin E supplements also did better in mental
tests than rats on a standard diet, but not as well as the rats that ate
