Here's a couple poems I wrote recently, which integrate Christian, Celestine Prophecy, Deepak Chopra, Native American (Raven = magic, healing, God's messenger) and some other, ideas. The "devil" references, at least to me, are simply a metaphor for anything (fear, etc.) which keeps one in ignorance of one's true power, and thus God (i.e., we are God here on earth), and the purpose of disease is to show us exactly that and strip away the illusion. After this is achieved, healing is a moot point. It occurred to me recently, that even with all my talk of literal healing, etc., the real point at which all of this has been leading me to is, the fact that we ourselves, thru our thought, quite literally, in every moment, create our bodies and our world. Some people then say that that idea then leads to the idea (with which we all disagree), that we are then at fault for our disease. I see it instead as meaning, that we ourselves embody the ultimate power of creation, via our thoughts. Healing ourselves of PD, or of anything else, is in a sense also a metaphor. Thru it we can discover our true power of creation, and once we do, the healing itself is trivial. The goal all along, wasn't actually to heal myself/yourself, but to realize the power which all of us have inside of us. None of us are powerless here, and it is the "devil", the dark side of the "force" (to borrow from Star Wars), or whatever you call it, which doesn't want us to realize this. Just like when Obi-Wan was trying to teach Luke how to "use" the force. One couldn't force it, so to speak, but if one surrendered oneself to it, one coould work magic or do the impossible. I admit, the implications of all this still scare me a little, but if it all holds true, then this world is truly a magical, and not a frightening, place. There is a dark side, let's not forget, so when one pursues this path, they'll at some point have to confront and deal with their own personal demons, and be careful not to end up like Darth Vader! Anyway, here goes: SABOTEUR Ignorance and Fear Are the Devil's domain For what he fears most Is that we'll see through his game Disease is the language With which our bodies cry out It is not of the Devil 'Cept that it lead us to doubt Distinct from random mishaps Which can leave one impaired Disease can be cured When it's message is shared It is not a punishment For previous sins Nor is it to be feared But embraced as a friend The value of disease Lies in its interpretation For if we allow it It will reveal all of creation The Devil would keep us In ignorance of how We ourselves create our bodies In the ever present Now Every moment of our lives Our bodies are renewed Through the power of thought As well as by food When we first came to this Earth And chose to be born Our memories from before Became fragmented and torn We search our whole lives From cradle to grave Trying to remember For what purpose we came Tho' in fact it's quite simple Yet still we might not know If it weren't for disease Forcing us to grow If we will but listen And to its message give heed Away from illusion And back to Truth it will lead If we allow our disease To thus open our eyes We will truly know What it means to be wise So curse ye the Devil Rather than the disease For had it not struck you You might never be free Give praise for this life And for all you are given As children of God In the land of the living *copyright Wendy Tebay ------------------- (to the American Indians, the Raven symbolizes magic, healing, and a messenger from God) WING AND A PRAYER Raven, Black Raven There's magic in the air Thought made manifest On a wing and a prayer While many long to be healed Fewer actually dare To respond to your call Choosing instead their own fear Not believing in magic Wandering lost through the years 'Til illness o'ertake them Setting their world on it's ear Yet in me renewed hope Hath won o'er despair For that which God hath made He can also repair Rather than cursing God For being unfair I will confront the Devil Right in his own lair Not for much longer Will this damned disease impair For its reality is far less Than it might first appear The illusion has been shattered Ne'er again to appear By God's Grace I've been healed And my vision is clear The way also lies open For all those who will dare To follow the Raven On a wing and a prayer *copyright Wendy Tebay -------------------- SPEAK Speak to that Which is not As though it were Hold onto The vision Until it occurs Be not afraid But be Rather assured For God is Forever True to his Word Where'er in one's life One is in need Of a cure Hold fast to the belief That your prayers Have been heard Yet in all this Be ye also Forewarned Your faith may Be met with Derision and scorn The Devil's Main purpose Is to cast seeds of doubt But ye have authority To rebuke and To cast out. Heed not the fear That this onslaught Will raise Remember instead To lift unto God Your true praise It's only a Matter of time Until you receive That which You've prayed for And for which you've believed So speak to that Which is not As though it were And it will become So saith The Word *copyright Wendy Tebay
