HRT reduces risk and severity of Parkinson's disease in
postmenopausal women

WESTPORT, Oct 13 (Reuters) - Postmenopausal hormone replacement
therapy reduces the risk of Parkinson's disease, delays the onset
of Parkinson's disease and reduces the severity of symptoms,
according to results of a small population-based, case-control
study conducted in Olmstead County, Minnesota. "There seems to
be an emerging story here," Dr. Demetrius M. Maraganore of the
Mayo Clinic told Reuters Health.
