Hello, Marriane, I have heard that an excessive amount of carbidopa can caused the difficulty which you described. I had an horrendous problem with dystonic type of muscle twisting and cramping until i had a pallidotomy in 1996. And pd itself can cause what you are experiencing. best of luck to you----pete
