I was just looking at a newspaper put out by Florida's Department of Elder
Affairs...a special edition with the focus on Parkinson's disease! There
happens to be an article about the dogs used to assist people from falling
and even helps the person get up if they do fall. The number is a

I am a new subscriber to the list and would like to find out if anyone
knows about trained dogs assisting patients. My father has Parkinsons and
I have read one article in the paper about a dog that made a difference to
