It seems there is still much confusion over the DBS (deep brain stimulation). Unless I have missed something, it is my understanding that DBS for tremors is being done and has for awhile. However, the STN (sub-thalamic nucleus) DBS is still under experimentation and has NOT been approved by FDA. Judith Richards posting from Reuters as of Oct. 15 1998 gave details.
