For persons living in, or visiting, Canada's National Capital Region,
there is an interesting meeting scheduled this weekend by the
Parkinson's Society of Ottawa-Carleton. The exact time and place is
Saturday, October 24th starting at 1.30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of
the Nepean Civic Square, 100 Centrepointe Drive which is just a couple
of miles south-west of the Queensway off Woodroffe Avenue.

There are two Workshop speakers scheduled, starting off with Dr. Zelma
Kiss, neurosurgeeon, who is newly arrived in Otawa to join the
neurological team at The Ottawa Hospital. She will speak on "New and Old
Surgery for Parkinson's Disease."

The second speaker is Dr. Leo Renaud, the Chief of Neurology and
Director of the Neuroscience divison of the Loeb Research Institute. He
will speak on the topic of " What we can learn in the laboratory and
take to the clinic".
