I wish to thank Hillary Blue for her update on the meeting she attended with her local Congressional candidates. While it's unfortunate her prepared questions weren't asked, but from her report it's clear that she handled the situation extremely well. In fact, making the personal connection with Members of Congress will likely prove to be more beneficial than if the questions had been asked. The important thing for Hillary to do now is to send letters to Congressmen Davis and Moran thanking them for attention to her concerns and reminding them that the Parkinson's community will be counting on their support next year. It's very important to follow personal meetings and commitments with letters putting everything in writing. This helps ensure that action will match their promises, and it helps build your relationships with Members and their staff. Hillary's example is one for all aspiring advocates to follow. She certainly deserves all the support members of the List have expressed.
