Since a LOT of us live somewhere along the edges of the Gulf of Mexico, I'm posting this to keep you aware of a dangerous situation. The National Hurricane Center just finished having a conference call with a number of NOAA Weather Stations. This is from an advisory posted by the NWS in Lake Charles, LA WATCHING MITCH VERY CAREFULLY...AS MITCH IS FCST TO BE LOCATED IN THE CENTRAL/EASTERN GULF OF MEX IN 5 DAYS PER NHC CONFERENCE CALL. We PD folks will need a little bit more than the usual warning time, plus no one is expecting this at this time of year. Listen to the weather so this dangerous storm will not creep up on you.
