Hi all, I've been on a desert island for four, maybe five years, and thus haven't done any reading in that time. Does anyone know of useful, recent (say in the last 4-5 years) research (or models) on how people (adults is my focus) develop "analytic" ability? What I'm looking for is similar to, but more current than, these examples: - Moffet's progression related to development in ability to abstract - Bereiter's "higher-order" / "lower-order" schemes, and his notion of "epistemic" writing - Reigel's and Arlin's five-stage model of cognitive development Thanks for any help.
