Susan...

I've had PD for 23 years and originally suffered from terrible leg
and toe cramps when laying down and upon awakening.

About 15 years ago, while at a dermatologist's office I got a
horrendous leg cramp, and the MD suggested I take plain ol vitamin E,
anywhere between 800 to 2000 ICUs a day for relief from cramping.

Daily since then, I take 2000 ICUs vitamin E (after originally
starting at 800 ICUs with little relief, I moved up 400 ICUs at a
time till I got to a dosage that worked for me) <they come in 1000
ICU size pills, but those are just too hard for me to swallow).

I take 2 400 ICU vitamin E pills in the morning, 2 more in the late
afternoon, and one before bed.

I have not been troubled by leg and;/or toe cramps AT ALL in the 15
years since the original referral, unless I forget to take a dose of
the vitamin E during the day.
