Craig,
I saw this note on the DX Cluster this morning. Looks like it may cause trouble
for the Rigs that we ship.

Kent

Msg #1714 From: K2WE Date: 4-Nov 1445Z
Subj: New UPS Shipping Rules
Starting this past monday, UPS will not accept any electronic item
for shipping unless it's in it's original box and that box is packed
within a larger box so there is at least 6" of space around the item.
They are asking that any box with electronic items be brought in
open so theycan inspect it.. It seems they have been paying out too
many claims for damage when they feel the package was not packed
correctly.. Guess it will be kinda hard to ship a 30 year old piece
of gear when the original box has turned to dust from old age.. I
was at UPS yesterday and saw them turn away about 6 people because
of the way they had there stuff packed... Be warned.. If your
shipping gear, pack it right the first time.. or you'll be bringing
it home with you..
73.. Steve/k2WE
