Dear Dale and Larry,
Thank you for posting your news release, "It's All
About Research," and thank you especially for all
the work you do on behalf of the Parkinson's
community. We are all indebted to you.
We are similarly indebted to a very courageous
group of people who received only a cursory nod in
your release. I refer to all those Parkinson's warriors
who for four years in a row traveled to Washington,
unstintingly spending their precious strength and
resources. First they got a quick political education
at PAN's forums. Then they trudged through miles of
government hallways trying to convince every Senator
and Congressman to support the Udall bill. Their hard
work and fervor were major factors in getting the bill
passed.
We are fortunate in having many heroes in our com-
munity, some in the spotlight and many in the shadows.
I hope we can be generous enough to honor all of them.
IT'S ALL ABOUT PEOPLE.
