I know nothing about publishing, however, I have a book of poetry called "Tunes for Bears to Dance To" written by aman whose father had M.s. These poems were a result of the loss of his childhood. The poems were touching and painful. I would think that if he could get these somewhat gruesome poems published, you might as well.
