Hi folks. Just returned home after a lengthy hospital stay that involved
endocarditis, open heart surgery, and aortic valve replacement.

All the advice on hospitalization of a pwp posted here over the years proved
to be invaluable. Multiple copies of contra-indicated drugs went to
everyone and into all my files. I was allowed, after insisting, to
adminnister my own pd drugs. The hospital staff were all advised of my pd
condition. My neurologist consulted with my cardiologist. My wife was
almost constantly at my bedside. She took notes, made decisions when I
couldn't and questioned all treatment and medications.

All went well and I believe I'm on the road to recovery. I did discover that
"hospital food" is an oxymoron.
