I need help in setting up a paging system so that my wife can always contact me. There is one in the J C Penney special needs catalog. It consists of a pendant for her to wear around the neck, and a receiver that I can clip to my belt. It's only $60.00 but unfortunately it only has a range of 100 feet. I need a range of at least a half mile. Perhaps someone makes a booster relay that could receive the signal from her pendant, and then trigger a more powerful transmitter that I could receive from a half mile distance. Another possibility: I've heard about a pendant transmitter that will trigger a phone attachment to dial an emergency number of your choice. Could that beep a phone pager?
