I was diagnosed about four years ago.My first presciption was for eldypryl.Although it did not reverse anything it did seem to slow down the progression of the swmptoms.Last year I went on Mirapex by slow buildup and gradual decrease of the eldepryl. It has seemed to help me in my energy level as I can again get out of bed and up from chairs without help.I still have some shaking in my hands but not as bad as it was.To date I have had no side effects that I can detect. To the person who mentioned back pains,I have not heard of this complaint from any of the people in my support group so far.Good luck and keep on trying.Dottie. >From [log in to unmask] Wed Nov 18 13:48:28 1998 >Received: from lserv.utcc.utoronto.ca ([128.100.132.4] HELO lserv.utcc.utoronto.ca ident: SOCKFAULT1 [port 2177]) by lserv.utcc.utoronto.ca with SMTP id <51336-138>; Wed, 18 Nov 1998 16:34:43 -0500 >Received: from LISTSERV.UTORONTO.CA by LISTSERV.UTORONTO.CA (LISTSERV-TCP/IP > release 1.8b) with spool id 235802 for [log in to unmask]; > Wed, 18 Nov 1998 16:34:16 -0500 >Received: from pimout3-ext.prodigy.net ([207.115.59.211] EHLO > pimout3-int.prodigy.net ident: NO-IDENT-SERVICE [port 4648]) by > lserv.utcc.utoronto.ca with ESMTP id <51155-135>; Wed, 18 Nov 1998 > 16:34:03 -0500 >Received: from erv (FLNTB105-31.splitrock.net [209.156.116.169]) by > pimout3-int.prodigy.net (8.8.5/8.8.5) with SMTP id QAA30682 for > <[log in to unmask]>; Wed, 18 Nov 1998 16:29:30 -0500 >MIME-Version: 1.0 >Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" >Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit >X-Priority: 3 >X-MSMail-Priority: Normal >X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 4.72.3110.5 >X-Mimeole: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V4.72.3110.3 >X-Orcpt: rfc822;[log in to unmask] >Message-ID: <001e01be1353$b85d7b20$a9749cd1@erv> >Date: Wed, 18 Nov 1998 16:29:48 -0800 >Reply-To: Parkinson's Information Exchange <[log in to unmask]> >Sender: Parkinson's Information Exchange <[log in to unmask]> >From: ERVIN J MCCARTHY <[log in to unmask]> >Subject: Re: Mirapex >To: Multiple recipients of list PARKINSN <[log in to unmask]> > >Julie, thank you for your response.
