hi susan and all;

i am taking a small liberty here
i am posting part of susan's reply to me
in re her mother jane's cognitive and physical problems
in the hope that this discussion might prove enlightening in the future

At 14:51 1998/11/21 -0800, susan wrote to me, in part:
>My mother was not too bad several weeks ago mentally.
>There was the odd time she seemed a tiny bit confused.
>She had been taking artane for about two years+
>with a tiny amount of sinemet when needed.
>The Doctor has taken mom off artane today .To see what happens.
>
>>when she saw her neurologist dr. tessler [?]
>>seven weeks ago did he make any change <in her med routine?
>
>No, there was no change in her meds.
>I have spoken to him a few times since
>mom was in the hospital and he too is puzzled.
>
>>i know that she has other health problems
>>too and takes other medications
>>were any <of these changed recently?
>
>Yes, two: one was methotrexate ( for her arthritis )
>was increased by one pill a few months before mom
>started to deteriorate. The other was provera, but
>she didn't even start that one as she ended up in
>the hospital before she was supposed to start it.
