There was a thread about blue glasses and freezing, both here and in my local support group, about 3 years ago. For those who wish to dig deeper, here's a reference I posted in the August 1995 Current Science Reviews: Haug, B. et al: Brain 1995; 118:771-778 At the same time it attacks dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra, PD also affects color-sensing cells in the retina, particularly the blue-sensing ones. Authors find that elaborate color-perception tests can reveal retinal-cell degeneration in PD patients, and therefore mark progress of the disease. (Could this be related to the empirical effect of blue glasses?) Cheers, Joe -- J. R. Bruman (818) 789-3694 3527 Cody Road Sherman Oaks, CA 91403-5013
