Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders including tremors, dystonia,
chorea and tics, such as those accompanying Tourette's syndrome. Dr. Sethi
received his medical degree from Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, India.
l~e completed an intemal medicine residency at Post Graduate Instittite of
Medical Education and Research in India and his neurology' residency at the
Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Sethi is director of the MCG Movement
Disorders Clinic. He has been listed in the directories of America's Best
Doctors and America's Best Doctors in the Southeast.

Ihe MCG Movement Disorders Clinic is staffed by neurosurgeons, neurologists,
neuropsychologists and physical therapists who specialize in the care and
rehabilitation of patients with movement disorders. Other members of the team
include Dr. \lichael Itivoer, Dr. Joseph Smith, director of Functional and
SiereotacOc Neurosurgery and Dr. William Garrett, a specialist in the
diagnosis and management of movement disorders. Patients with dystonia may be
treated with medication and/or botulinum toxin injections  Clinic researchers
are also testing several new drugs for Parkinson's disease and dystonia.
Pallidotomy, surgery for drug resistent Parkinson's disease, has proven
effective in 70 percent to 80 percent of cases. And the clinic offers deep
brain stimulation, recently approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration,
to treat Parkinsonian tremor and essential or familiar tremor. Other
procedures offered bv the clinic are thalamotomy to treat tremor due to
multiple sclerosis, trauma or stroke and  rhizotomy to treat torticollis.
