Government funding for at-home care is critically inadequate.


As my own life is clearly demonstrating, there is not enough money
allocated for at-home care.  This spells disaster for the single, younger
PWP.  It means preemptive institutionalization, isolation and depression.
    Even for a young married couple, the pressure on the caregiving
spouse or partner is huge, and the loss of a normal social life for both
PWP and CG looms constantly, due to the shortage of funds for care.
Usually the caregiving partner goes through burnout and a series of
agonizing decisions.
